Partnering to pursue the Kingdom of God in our community and World
Bethany Church appreciates that there are many very good Christian organisations and ministries that do good work in our province and area. As a small church we choose to focus on four partnerships to give attention and support.
Our partnerships
Haiti Arise
Bethany and our community helped send and support 3 members of the congregation on a mission trip to Haiti, through Haiti Arise in 2019. Currently we provide financial support, share updates, and join their ministry in prayer. Our hope is to be able to send people again when it is safe.

Operation Christmas Child
Bethany has been sending Christmas shoeboxes for years, and our community have been great supporters in both preparing and giving to this ministry. We make this a focus during the Fall season.

Compassion Canada
Bethany has supported our sponsor child for almost 10 years and we keep regular postings of his letters and community on a board in the church. We also use compassion to send gifts to communities and families around the world around Christmas each year.

Meserete Christian College
Meserete Christian College is a theology and pastoral training school in Ethiopia and part of larger Mennonite networks. We are connected through the NWMC and are part of this larger partnership to spread the Gospel in the NorthEast corner of Africa.

NorthWest Mennonite Conference
The NWMC is made up of 18 churches across Alberta and Saskatchewan, and is multi-ethnic with a mix of English, Hispanic and Mandarin speaking congregations. As a smaller denomination, we believe that we have the unique ability to connect, interact and focus on relationships and sharing and living the gospel in our communities.
Each NWMC church functions with independence, but works in cooperation for the benefit, accountability and building of each church.
